VISIT TO GAUSHALA
An article in The Times of India on 820 Animals including Injured Cows, Bulls at Sambhavnath Gaushala, located after the Poondi reservoir en route Uthukottai is struggling to function due to acute funds shortage. The organization had no money to buy water leaving the animals helpless without water. On hearing the plight of animals RYA COSMO - Medibank foundation members led by President Suraj Kankaria, Sandeep Doshi, Aditya Mohta and Umesh Agarwal (me) visited Gaushala (Cowshelter) and donated the amount collected from fellow Cosmonians to help them tide over acute water crisis.
FREE EARLY DETECTION CANCER AWARENESS CAMP MAY 2K19-20
*FREE CANCER DETECTION CAMP* was held on 12th May 2019, from 9.00 AM at Shantidevi Jawaharmal Chandan Day Care and Diagnostic Hospital Aynavaram. Team of Specialist Doctors from Madras Cancer Care Foundation led by Dr.Ayappan, Dr Lakshmi Narayana, Dr Sruthi, Dr Kanimozhi were present. The camp benefited 84 persons who were screened for Oral, Throat, Breast Cancer and the affected person were provided counselling session. With the objective to promote cancer awareness RYACosmo Foundation in association with Madras Cancer Care Foundation conducted camp for medical staff of SHANTIDEVI JAWHARMAL CHANDAN Day Care and Diagnostic Centre on 4th May 2019. What Young India Wants by Mr.Chetan Bhagat 11th January 2015
The interactive talk show – “What Young India Wants” by renowned writer, speaker and columnist Mr.Chetan Bhagat was held at Lady Andal Auditorium on 11th January, 2015 and was jam packed. "The proceeds of the talk show “What Young India Wants” will support Medi-Bank projects of RYA Cosmo Foundation to provide better service to the needy."
Show received a tremendous participation of general public as Mr.Chetan Bhagat emphasized on how the power of youth can be used and the goals can be set. The audience was so enthralled in interacting with questions from all streams.
This two hours show also had a special dance performance from Loyola dream team the finalist of India’s Dancing superstar. Also a live song on mother was sung by Amit Sanchethi.

The annual Jewellery Expo was conducted at Chennai Trade Centre starting from 19th September, 2014 for 3 days in joint association with United Exhibition. The Expo was inaugurated by Mr.Ninan Therian, Vice President Times of India. A wide variety of jewellery collection from across the globe was on display at 48 stalls. Convenor Mahaveer Bothra and his team did a splendid job in organising such high quality expo offering customers a wide choice. The Expo received tremendous response and the proceeds of this would be used for our SDJC Centre in giving medical services to the needy.

SDJC Scan Centre and Mega Diabetics Camp 13th October 2013
S.Devaraj Jain Scan Centre was inaugurated on 13th October, 2013 by Shri Jawarmalji Dhawalji Chandan at our SJDC Centre. Chief Guest was Smt. Mohini Devi S.Devaraj Jain and Guest of Honour was Smt.Sarala Bai Nainmalji Kawad.

Inaugration of Multi Speciality Medibank Centre - 10th March 2012
In order to offer treatment at subsidised rates, a new multi-speciality outpatient day care centre and dialysis centre was inaugurated by the Speaker of Tamil Nadu Assembly D Jayakumar in Ayanavaram today.
The Chennai-based Rajasthan Youth Association Cosmo and RYA Cosmo Foundation have launched the Shantidevi Jawaharmal Chandan Day care and Parasmal Srisrimal Dialysis Centre for the benefit of public. About 85 per cent of the total cost of `8 crore was contributed by members of the RYA.
The medical centre is built over an area of 7000 sq ft and has a panel of 12 doctors giving consultation on dentistry, diabetes, gynaecology, paediatrics, dermatology, orthopaedics, physiotherapy, cardiology, nephrology and ENT. The day-care centre has three bedded facilities for emergency treatment, first aid and medical observation.

30 Bed CANCER WARD AT THE Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital Chennai adopted by foundation where inpatients are provided imported and costly medicine free of cost.
GERIATRIC WARD AT THE GENERAL HOSPITAL - 6th March 1995
With the objective of providing FREE medical services and medicines to the needy people, RYA Cosmo Foundation (a charitable trust of RYA Cosmo) founded the novel project of Medi-Bank. The project was inaugurated by the former President of India Shri R.Venkataraman on 6th March, 1995. Since the inauguration Medi-Bank has grown steadily over the years. First the 64 bed Geriatric ward of Govt. General Hospital at Chennai was adopted by Medi-Bank (Vide G.O.No.38570/H2/95-96 dated 04-03-1996) and in 1997 we stepped into the 30 bed Cancer Ward at GH. The Foundation not only distribute free medicines to the patients of these wards but also regularly maintain these wards by periodical painting, cleaning etc. Other facilities like T.V., Refrigerators, fans etc. have also been provided by the foundation.
